Children's Play Park

There are two separate formal childrens' play areas in Carlisle Park.

The main area, which includes the Paddling Pool, swings, slides and climbing frames - and new in March 2017, the play galleon "HMS Collingwood" named for Admiral Lord Collingwood, a son of Morpeth and victor at the Battle of Trafalgar. The play area is located near the bowling greens and the River Wansbeck and the nearest entrance is from New Market over the Elliott Bridge.

A Toddlers' Play Area can be found at the Doorstep Green - accessed off Bluebell Close - with smaller equipment suitable for younger children.
