This year - 2018 - New Voices Community Choir is celebrating 21 years of Singing

The first event of the celebrations is a day time concert and an exhibition of photographs....

‘21 Songs for 21 Years’ features a song from each year – including folk songs, gospel, spirituals and popular songs such as Drink to Me Only, Catch a Falling Star and The Rose.  As well as the concert, there will be a photographic display by Morpeth Camera Club – with some of the photos reflecting on the themes of the songs.  The event is quite informal – please come and celebrate with us.

New Voices choir grew from a project set up by 20,000 Voices in the autumn of 1997 and members continued singing together in the New Year.  Some choir members have been in the choir almost from the start, while some are very new.  Anne Suggate has been the musical director since the choir started.  We are always happy to welcome new singers.  The choir is supported by Morpeth Town Council.
